The Secrets Of Being Blessed ~ The Power Of Prayer Revealed

One of my great passions in my work is tapping into the Divine blessings that are available to all- and helping channel them into the lives of those I serve.

Blessings, like sunlight, is available to all, no matter what... it's just that sometimes we stand in the shade.

I believe that every prayer which is in accord with our unique life journey and cosmic laws is fully answered- all the time. Being such a huge advocate of right prayer, I have often been asked "Why aren't my prayers answered?". That's what I'd like to explore with you in today's article.

Prayer is commonly defined as the act of supplicating the Divine for help, guidance, intercession or empowerment in some way applicable to the current life journey. Prayer can be formal, informal, ritualized or spontaneous as long as it's from the heart. Some people have a close connection to the Divine manifestation they pray to, while others pray to a Divinity they don't yet have a personal relationship with. Either way works as long as it's heart-centered and true for you.

Teaching prayer tactics can be a little tricky. I believe that the Divine already knows what we need, what we desire and what we seek... so why bother with prayer?

The fundamental reason we do pray isn't for the benefit or need of the Divine- but for our own need. Effective prayer is less about stating a need and more about opening up consciously to receive the solution to that need. In prayer, we connect consciously and actively to the Divine principle, and explore our heart center to the Divine force while letting go of the ego that normally prayer-blocks us.

₪ What is prayer-blocking?

It's more common than I'd like to admit! Prayer-blocking is the natural tendency of most humans to micro-manage and control their lives to the point that, on a subconscious level, they actually block Divine empowerment. Since the Divine allows for free agency/free will, if we say 'no', the Divine allows for 'no. Prayer-blocking is the #1 reason that prayers don't get answered. If we pray from the heart, but still over-manage and stress about the situation to the point that our ego pins it down with our own fears and expectations- there is no room for the Divine to answer the prayer and elicit change.

₪ How To Receive

There are several key steps to ensuring that prayer work will be received when it manifests:

• Surrender. When you send a letter that has the proper postage, you don't spend every waking minute stressing about whether it will arrive. Do we really have more faith in the postal system (as amazing as it is!) than we do the Divine? Once you've sent your prayer off- let it go. Release from it so that as blessings come forth you are not so wrapped up in the issue that you don't receive guidance about the solution.


• Expect Divine attention. When we have a proper perception about the omnipresence, omnipotence and absolute compassion of the Divine, there is no question about our prayers being received or not. Indeed, they are received long before we even verbalize them or realize the need ourselves. Remember, prayer obstacles don't manifest from petitions not being heard by the Divine- but from answers not being heard by us! Tap into your innate faith in Divine compassion and attentiveness whenever any negativity or doubt arises. In just one intense prayer working you could re-train your thoughts, mind and vibrational patterns to reflect only Divinity!


• Manifest in words. To help ensure you are keeping open and not pining down the outcome, try journaling every day to have an internal dialogue about the issue. Remind yourself in journal that the prayer has been sent, and try to identify any changes you see or feel that might be the sprouting seed of blessings manifesting on your path. Every few days read past entries.


• Let go of ego-based expectations. When a problem arises, we naturally create an ideal way they can be solved. The problem is, that when we create this 'outcome addiction', we're pretty much telling the Divine 'it's my way or the highway!'. With positive thinking, affirmations, declarations, law of attraction AND prayer- it's important to use the right key- to expect and visualize perfection in your needs but NOT to define with a linear human mind how that perfection will manifest! If you ask for a healing, don't limit the Divine to healing you only by the means you understand. Attach your expectation to the final perfected outcome and NOT to the process itself.


• Get Divine, let Divine! Each day, remind yourself who you're working with. Express both gratitude and adoration to the Divine for everything you know about It and the countless things you don't. You (hopefully!) don't wake up every morning freaking out that you aren't a surgeon just in case you need some surgery. You rest well knowing that if you need a surgeon, mechanic, dentist, lawyer, psychic guide, etc. that there are people in the world who can handle that task with great precision. Similarly- don't try to play the cosmic role, because the Divine is far better at it! Let the Divine do what It does best, and you focus on doing the best you can!

₪ What If Nothing Happens?

Relax. If nothing happens- you're as good as gold! When we pray properly and open to receive properly and still nothing happens, it's simply because what we're asking for is not in accord with personal/soul or cosmic/universal laws. When I perceive this is the reason for an unanswered prayer in coaching clients- it's often a hard one to explain. Usually when a prayer is not answered it seems, at the time, to be the one and only thing we really want! We need that lover, that job, this cash, that healing. We trust the Divine to know what's best but this just doe not make sense! We might be in serious pain or confusion and nothing happens- how is that mercy?

Here is one of those extremely tricky and super mysterious workings of the Divine that we have to try to wrap our linear brains around. What seems paramount now, will not a few steps down the road. What we feel we cannot live without might be killing us in a way we cannot perceive. What we truly desire might just be a quick fix to a deeper addiction or spiritual imbalance. Although we cannot always understand, like or see the reasons for unanswered prayers- there's just one thing we have to do... never believe in unanswered prayers!

As I mentioned above, ALL PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED when offered and received properly. This means, that if you ask for something and it doesn't come- you just can't see how it comes. Countless times I have coached a client through the process of powerful prayer only to see nothing happen. One client asked only for a true, loving relationship... got nothing, three months later entered a meditation retreat and stayed as a facilitator... now she has a relationship par excellence with the Divine in ways neither one of us could have seen coming! This is a hard aspect of prayer to deal with- because we are all addicted to seeing and perceiving results in a tangible way. As much as I wish I had better foundation for this- the truth is when nothing happens it's probably the biggest something that's ever happened to us before..just coming in very quietly ;)

₪ Plugging In

So, in all of this there is a simple step you can take to ensure spiritual integrity, proper prayer and excellent methods of receiving are in place. That is surrender.

Surrender in this case means letting the Divine do what it does best and having complete trust. Surrender does not mean doing nothing. It means letting go of finite concepts about how and when to act and giving control of guidance over to the Divine. We still have to do the footwork. If we just had to pray and the rest would get done for us- what would be the point of living at all?

Prayer is magic, healing, transformation, love, connection, ascension, enlightenment, wisdom and empowerment in ways we can never perceive fully. It is personal communion between the eternal and unique soul we are and the face of Divinity that shines just for us. Prayer is the realization that the Divine is big enough to have a unique and special relationship with each of us- and that no two people will have the same Divine experience. Prayer is stepping up and plugging in to the power grid of all power grids for life, love, progress and perfection!

Sometimes in the middle of a hectic workday, while stuck in traffic or just...whenever... a sense of some seriously heavy energy becomes present.

We can tell that our energy systems are a little out of balance when we feel a downpour of unexplained negativity, fatigue that seems deeper than just 'tired, lack of concentration or creative flow or any other symptoms that just seem to come from deeper within that usual.

Our interactions with the word around us present us with countless opportunities to have our energy systems affected in positive or negative ways. One of the most common issues on the energetic levels I see within the clients I serve have to do with personal shielding- knowing what's ours and what's not. It can be confusing out there- but keeping our spiritual flow and energy systems 'well-groomed' can be just the medicine!

Consistent attention to the state of our energy systems trains us up to be more aware, sensitive and in control of how we feel. Use this simple technique to create a powerful talisman of cleansing and protection that doubles as cleansing agent whenever you need it!

What Is A Cleaning Cloth?

Cleansing cloths are exactly that- a special cloth dedicated to cleansing and purifying our energy systems from internal to external (auric field). This practice has resonances in many mystery traditions and mystical paths across history and the globe, and is being presented here with new techniques suitable for the modern day!

Think of your cleaning as something similar to your bath washcloth... But where a washcloth is designed specifically to scrub away physical dirt, a cleaning cloth is designed to scrub away toxic vibrations and smooth our the flow of energy in the body!

A few flicks of the cloth and toxic energy is pulled from the system while a new rush of empowered energy flows in!

Working With Your Cleansing Cloth


Follow these simple steps to receive your own cleaning cloth and step up to a new level of spiritual-energetic health!

Choosing A Cloth

You'll want to choose a cloth that is about the size of a handkerchief, towel or hanky.

Your cloth should be made from 100% cotton, hemp or other natural fibers and should contain no wool, silk, leather, polyester, rayon or any other synthetic materials.

Based on the day you were born, you have a certain proclivity to flow energy in a specific way. Although this is not a definitive list- it's a safe one. If you feel drawn to a color that is not represented in your chart below as a symbol for purity and cleansing, use that instead of the color listed below. The color chart presented is based on soul-entrance colors that fundamentally dictate the state of energetic flow for your life. Choose your color based on the day of the month you were born.... If your date has more than one color, you can use just one of them or a cloth showing as many of the colors as you like!

If you were born on the 1st, 10th, 19th or 28th...

use orange or red

If you were born on the 2nd, 11th, 20th or 29th...

use silver or orange

If you were born on the 3rd, 12th, 21st or 30th...

use yellow or red

If you were born on the 4th, 13th, 22nd or 31st...

use brown or forest green

If you were born on the 5th, 14th or 23rd...

use royal blue or pink

If you were born on the 6th, 15th or 24th...

use indigo or orange

If you were born on the 7th, 16th or 25th...

use violet or magenta

If you were born on the 8th, 17th or 26th...

use pink or white

If you were born on the 9th, 18th or 27th...

use gold or white

My persona cloth has red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple, black, white, silver and gold. It's a cotton Peruvian prayer shawl cut down to a more pocket-friendly size. I highly recommend using the full color spectrum in your cleansing cloth, although it seems to be a bit tricky to find cloth with all those colors represented.

Creating Your Cloth


Now that you have your cleansing cloth- you'll need to spiritually attune it to it's purpose. This can be done as elaborately or a simply as you like- follow your intuition!

1. Cleanse the cloth itself to remove any previous vibrations from it. Do this by soaking it for a few minutes in lightly salted water (add a bit of baking soda for extra power!), then drying outside over one night and one day.


2. Hold the dry cloth and connect to it. Realize the similarity between the threads of energy that surround and permeate your body and the way the threads of the cloth harmoniously work together in a strong pattern to make the cloth itself. Know that the fabric is of a material that energy will attach to when intention is behind it.


3. Holding the cloth open across your palms, charge it with intention, visualization and prayer that all negative, toxic or harmful vibrations within your system will 'cling' to it and will be pulled from your system. Also that, like a comb, it will groom and strengthen the energy flow within and around you.


4. Once you feel the cloth has been 'charged' in this way, gently fold it up. Sleep with it under your pillow that night to 'own' it.


5. The next day, wake up and prepare to live life with a secret ally in your pocket!

If you have any personal symbols or designs that are meaningful to you- feel free to add them with a permanent marker or stitch them in with thread if you're crafty!

Cloths may be anointed with aromatherapy oils, given carrying bags to keep them clean or made for friends for a birthday... What a powerful gift!!!

Using Your Cloth


Anytime you feel like you need a boost, clarity, cleansing, clearing, charging or blessing- reach for the cloth!

Open it up and drag, gently wipe or brush from the top of your head down the front of your body to your feet. See and feel those bad vibes getting caught in the cloth!

Then do a sweep from the top of the head to the feet along the back of your body.

Once done, open up the cloth and flick it a few times towards the earth- seeing the toxic vibrations hitting the ground (no matter if you're on the tenth floor!) and being absorbed by the Mother Earth to be enlightened.

If you need extra focus in prayer, creativity, personal power, etc. try opening the cloth and simply looking at it- allowing its color and charge to enter in through the eyes affecting the whole system!

Cleansing & Recharging Your Cloth


Your cloth should be given a full cleanse monthly at the time of the full moon. Here's how to do it...

1. Wash the cloth physically with salt & baking soda water. Allow to air dry, preferably outdoors.


2. Expose the cloth to the night of the full moon and the sun of the following day. Sleep with it that night.


3. re-state your charge over the cloth and you're back in cleansing power!


4. Starting a new lunar cycle with a personal energetic cleansing bath is another great way to start the flow moving on the right track!

Feel free to physically wash the cloth with salt, baking soda, rose water, etc. anytime you need- just be sure to let it air dry- outside if possible. You can also add essential oils or other meaningful scents to your cloth as needed.

During sleep, keep your cloth somewhere special like on an altar, shrine, or hanging next to the bed. Respect it as a spiritual tool and don't toss it around with dirty laundry or leave it where you cant find it. The more you respect it- the greater a spiritual charge it will begin to accumulate!

۞ The Healing Power Of Illness ۞

Getting sick is the worst!

Allergies, Flu, Cold, Headaches, Nausea... Can there be any good in it?

You bet!

There are many subtle and not-so-subtle reasons why we get sick. Because nothing happens by chance and there's a cosmic reason for everything- the hidden power of illness can be tapped when it strikes. This tapping of power not only brings faster healing (because you are resolving the issue that's made illness necessary for you in the first place), you can also learn a ton about your own body, your own energetic state and the universe at large.

As always, what I present to you regarding health and healing is a spiritual compliment to your seeking professional medical guidance. This information does not replace or override the directions you receive from your medical care provider.

۞ Why the @$*% did I get sick? ۞

Illness strikes for a myriad reasons- and your specific situation requires guidance from a spiritual guide to define it exactly. Some of the most common reasons that illness hits are:

* Warning sign of physical, emotional or spiritual imbalance

* Emotional issue being neglected that has torn down defenses and allowed illness to manifest (Check out "Feeling Buried Alive Never Die" by Karol K. Truman)

* Psychic attack... "evil eye", more common than you think!

* Cleansing and purification of the soul

* Spiritual debt

Again, that list is by far not exhaustive- but those are the most common reasons I see, especially the second. Emotional issues that do not get handled and thoroughly dealt with get put away to fester and rot- eventually manifesting on the physical level as immune breakdown and psychic-magnetic attraction of like toxicity.

۞ How Can I Get Past This On Every Level? ۞

Good, no, GREAT question!

Healing a physical manifestation of illness is only a band-aid cover up. If you seem to get recurring illness, this is even more true.

Dis-ease is only a physical manifestation of a more subtle imbalance. Long before you experienced symptoms on the physical plane- a subtle balance in energy, emotions, thoughts, toxic beliefs, etc. existed. After time, these subtle issues get more and more heavy until they finally hit hard in the material form. So, going to the root of the tree and dealing with the subtle issue is the real path of healing. I always suggest working with a qualified and experienced energetic healing channel when dis-ease of any nature strikes (colds to cancer), but there is also a very powerful technique you can work on yourself. I have never taught this technique openly before- so I hope it is received well and works in a typed-out medium :)

۞ Illness Wisdom Technique by Josh Williams ۞

As always, let's begin this practice by establishing quiet, safe and comfortable space free of distractions.

* Begin by really opening up and tuning into your body, Feel the parts of you that don't feel good, and any that do. Take total inventory from your toes to your crown- check in piece by piece with every section of your body.

* Now, in whatever way feels right for you- call forth the illness to manifest in a tangible way. This will either be a) imagining seeing it sitting across from you b) seeing it inside you or c) feeling without seeing either a or b. Allow it to manifest however it does- black cloud, monster, ex-lover, etc. Don't judge! Whatever pops in once you consciously call it forth to manifest is what it needs to be- and there is great wisdom in how it manifests!

* Here's the powerful part. Now that you have it there with you in a manifest way- start talking to it. Ask it why it's there, what it's teaching you, where it came from, how to get rid of it, etc. Again, no judgment and no logic- allow whatever response pops in to be.

* Continue this little chat until you feel that all questions have been answered and you have established a connection to the deepest part of the illness.

* Now, and this is very important, before you back out of the meditation... THANK THE DIVINE FOR THE ILLNESS! Express your gratitude not directly to the illness (as that would empower it), but to the Divine for providing you this healing opportunity. Pray with the illness next to you- not to it. Once gratitude has been expressed, say directly to the illness that you are now aware of what needs to be done to heal yourself, and so you gratefully and respectfully release it to the Divine and CHOOSE not to need it any longer to learn whatever lessons it's showing you.

* You may want to end this meditation with either a cord cutting, energy protection rite, a cleansing bath, or all three- whatever feels right for you.

* Again, use common sense and a medial professional's guidance before you execute any healing techniques received in your meditation!

Our job as souls having a human experience is to tap all the lessons and experiences that we need to become whole. Each of us is on a unique and individual path that leads us to the places we need to be in order to realize wholeness and Divine prowess. I always teach that spirituality is not a give-in, it is something we must take full personal accountability for! This meditation connects you to your own power of being co-pilot of your life- and it can be applied to many other areas of your journey than just illness.

Subtle healing, energy healing, light work and so forth are the truth of absolving us of imbalance on every level- and not just covering the true issues up. Taking accountability for your spiritual path and your total health will mean confronting some things that you'd rather just leave buried, but it also means offering all that baggage to the Divine who will enlighten it into a blessing and remove the curse that it is. Try not to get caught up in seeing yourself as a segregated being- with emotions, body, thoughts, beliefs, fears, likes, etc., but rather connect to these things all being different masks your soul is wearing. They are all singular expressions of something bright and beautiful- YOU!

Diagnosis will include (in most, but not all cases) checking for energy leaks, imbalances, toxic energy patterns, stagnation, etc. and a course of action will be determined on how to fix the issues.

Ideally, life energy flows through the body effortlessly- providing support and power to organs, body functions, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, etc. Life energy, unlike blood or other 'material' aspects of the body, effects every part of the being from the soul to the soles!

After a diagnosis is made, a practitioner will work to resolve the issue. Some practitioners gently place hands on the physical body while others prefer no physical connection at all. The practitioner then channels 'pure' healing energy into the parts of the system which are imbalanced, and works to clear up any energetic issues using energy itself.

Most energy healing practitioners believe, as do I, that any and all health issues on any level of the being begin on an energetic level and slowly 'solidify' until they manifest in a physical way. Thus, maintaining energetic health and receiving energy healing goes to the root of an imbalance and creates a healing platform par excellence for balance to be regained.

In my energy healing workshops, I teach that life energy is a manifestation of the Divine- and thus is has a latent intelligence and consciousness. Many practitioners agree and will allow the energy being channeled into the system to 'do it's own thing', as opposed to forcing it where the practitioner believes it needs to go. A happy medium that I practice involves conscious extraction of toxic vibrational patterns and issue identification followed by passive/channeled empowerment and healing via energy.

When it comes to energy healing- many people are most familiar with ReiKi (Master Mikao Usui) and Pranic Healing (Choa Ko Sui). Both of these methods are profoundly effective when done properly- although I will take this opportunity to caution you against receiving or attuning to incorrect ReiKi methods (practitioners who received long-distance attunements via books, DVD or websites or those who display the sacred symbols in books, websites, t-shirts, etc.).

There are also countless 'freeform' schools of thought like that of Barbara Brennen- teaching that each practitioner of energy healing will create their own form of channeling the energy. You should feel confident in interviewing and exploring the offerings of your energy healing practitioner.

There is a mystic axiom that states "Energy flows where attention goes". This being true, you have the power to begin exploring and working with life energy and its presence on your being simply by thinking of it. The next time you are petting the cat- imagine that pure life light is flowing down into your head, through your heart and out through your hand. See if you can begin to perceive a tingling, pulsing or warmth as the energy flows. Cats are amazing energy healing trainers- and never seem to mind the energy and attention!

Because life energy transcends time and space- long distance sessions are completely effective from a trusted practitioner. Although training in energy healing should be done in person- the work itself can reach anywhere, anytime. There are even techniques for healing ancestral wounds...IN THE PAST! Feel free to connect with a distance energy session from myself or anyone you trust. Make sure you work with a reputable healing channel so that you can ensure the work gets done. And as a rule of thumb, NEVER TRUST A HEALER! This means, that anyone claiming to be a healer or do the healing themselves should not be chosen. All advanced energy workers know that they are only tools/channels for the life energy which has its own conscious and intelligent agenda.

Energy healing can help on many levels as we have seen. Emotional/mental issues are very close to the pure energy spectrum and can be approached very powerfully through energy healing*. The body, as well, responds wonderfully to energy healing*- and a session often induces an intensely deep state of trance-relaxation that can often last for hours! Simply receiving a great energy healing session attunes you to that subtle flow of life within your own being- and can change the way you see life in a powerful way! The Spectrum Of Power~ Josh's Color Magic & Healing Techniques

Greetings all!

In today's How-To, we're going to explore the power of color and how to harness it for healing, empowerment and success!

What Is Color?

Color is light energy manifest!

Light (as far as humans can perceive it) is made op of wavelengths in 7 visible colors. Think rainbow-red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.

When light hits an object (say a car, a flower or a painting), some of the wavelengths get absorbed by that object- while others bounce off of it. The wavelengths that bounce off enter into our eyes, get interpreted by our brains and we perceive CoLoR! There's a whole amazing process that takes place within our eye-to-brain system that is totally worth learning about if you are interested... try a simple Google.com search for "how we see color" for more info.

What makes color so magical?

That's a great question and one that there are as many answers to as... well, color combination!

I have my own feeling about color healing and I will share it with you here. Color, much like plants, gemstones, planets, stars, locations and sounds carries a specific vibrational pattern- think of this as it's signature. Everything in the natural world from healing herbs to quartz crystals have a vibrational signature. As humans- we also have a unique vibrational signature, but sometimes ours can get a little out of balance. By applying a solid, cosmic vibrational pattern to our own, our systems are literally 'trained' on how to behave properly on an energetic level. Think of this as dropping food dye into water- the water takes on the pattern of color because of it's influence...in the same way, our energetic/subtle bodies can 'take on' or 'learn' a vibration by interacting with it.

I believe that colors and other natural resonances are clean and pure primordial vibrations; literally emanations from the Divine as part of the creative flux.

As we progress through our lives, we experience disease, imbalance, lack, illness, etc. - all physical manifestations of something that first took place on an energetic level. Thus, by using vibrations of energy we can give our systems a cosmic tune-up and bring everything back into balance and power!

How do I work with color?

Simple..be around it!

The three best methods I've found for working with color vibration are:

1. Surround yourself with the color carrying the vibrational 'medicine' you're looking for- clothing, flowers, art, etc.


2. Do meditative deep breathing exercises imagining t a pure stream of your color entering into your heart from the cosmic in the in-breath then filling every fiber of your body and aura on the out breath.


3. Meditate solely within your mind's eye on a color. Try to fill you internal creative visualization with nothing but an endless sea of your color.

Which color should I work with?

Like all things on the intuitive level- there are countless opinions about what each color does. My goal in presenting this information is to empower YOU and allow you to be accountable and in-charge of your own healing journey. There are many sources online regarding the meanings, healing/magical properties and vibrations of color. Try a Google.com search or check out a local metaphysical bookstore to explore many ideas about color.

My suggestion is, of course, to discover this for yourself. Although 'red' might mean one thing to many people- when it interacts with your specific vibrational field it might not fall completely in line with it's general meanings. Red might effect you with anger while it might give me courage. The technique I teach my clients on picking and working with color is to define for yourself what is needed.

Here's my step-by-step guide to connecting to your color truth!

1. Enter a calm, relaxed and meditative space. Feel free to say a prayer or invocation as desired.


2. Call up the part of your own being that knows how to heal your imbalance. I like to use "I call forth that blessed part of my being that is my inner healer and knows the medicine which truly brings me balance". Spend a moment experiencing this connection in any way it comes to you (visual, sensations, feelings, emotions, etc.)


3. Now, as if this was another person, begin internal dialog. you might say "Inner healer, what color will balance and empower me to overcome/bring in ____(state affliction or desire here)___".


4. In a calm and receptive way, allow a color to come into your mind's eye. Don't second guess yourself. Allow whatever happens to happen. I once worked with a client who experienced a 'taste' that meant green to her rather than seeing green in her mind's eye. If you get a flash of more than one color- they all need to be worked with one at a time and individually.


5. Keep in mind that this does not only have to be used for physical/emotional issues. You can work with this for abundance, attracting the right partner, coming closer to Divinity, etc. Any 'initiation' you need help with bringing you in to a new or higher phase of your life journey can be worked with.


6. Using color therapy is a spiritual counterpart to your seeking professional medical or mental care if that is needed. Spiritual workings are meant to support and empower us working with another blessing in our lives- doctors, financial advisers, etc. Please do not rely solely on spiritual healing techniques in case of a medical illness!

Color is just one of many vibrational blessings we have to work with on our life journeys. Accepting these gifts intou our lives is direct communion and reception of Divine blessings and really does make a big impact!

The Real Secret Of Overcoming Obstacles

Greetings!

I hope this article finds you all enjoying the song of spring!

I wanted to talk today a little about obstacles. We hear this term a lot in our readings and in our unique life journeys- but what are they? How can we avoid them? Why do they happen?

We all know that if anyone ever said life in this world would be easy- they lied :)
But that doesn't mean that we have to live in strife and anxiety at every step. There is, in mystical terms, a right and wring way to suffer- and knowing this is of paramount importance since some level of suffering in this world is pretty much inevitable.

What are obstacles?
Obstacles, in this context, are loosely defined as anything preventing us from attaining our ideal, success or joy. They are the things, people and situations that get into our way when we are trying to follow our bliss. In order to dis-empower an obstacle- we have to know what it is... and in order to know what an obstacle is we have to first purify with a reality check :)
We often see obstacles as something outside of us- something being done to us or against us (i.e. SHE is doing this to me, THAT is in my way, THIS situation is preventing me from doing what I want, etc.) but the truth is that obstacles are simply reflections of internal dis-beliefs and/or psychic/cosmic calling cards giving you heads up that something is not quite right. Later on in this article we will explore how to deal with this :)

How do we avoid obstacles?
The simple answer to this question is that we cannot. Obstacles are the strongest way the universe can communicate to us a flashing red 'warning' sign. Negative emotions are the ones we respond to fastest and our subconscious knows that- so naturally if we are manifesting something from within or if the cosmos are trying to tell us something- negative situations are the way to go. Think about this: If the universe or our subconscious let us know we were straying from the path by sending us amazing sunsets and true love- we would probably not listen. Pain and suffering are sure fire triggers to get us to take action to make change as soon as possible.

Why do obstacles happen?
As I mentioned above- obstacles manifest (almost all the time) because we are manifesting them by projecting inner fear, guilt, toxic belief patterns, etc. out to the world around us and/or because the guiding force in the cosmos is giving us a swift kick in the read as a wake-up call we cannot ignore. It's not rare to find both of these issues happening at the same time because when our psyche is in line with cosmic will we will manifest things at the same rate the universe will.
Obstacles NEVER happen for no reason. In a universe where everything is left up to chance- it would statistically be impossible that the sun would rise at the right predicted time every day since we started recording history. This is not so- there is a latent order and intelligence in the cosmos that make things go the way they're supposed to... and the kicker is that when things seem the most chaotic and painful they are usually the most imbued with cosmic attention!
Obstacles are actually one of the most merciful blessings we receive each day- and handling them the right way changes them from being obstacles to being life-savers...just like that!

Changing the paradigm changes the game
Obstacles are only obstacles because that's how we perceive them. When we take the time to step back from a trying situation and see that although we might not understand right here, right now how this benefits us- that it actually does- and have the faith to follow through, the ego supporting the perception of the obstacle immediately drops it's guns and we can breathe again. Simply reminding ones self in the face of a challenge to follow these steps will disarm the negativity and empower clear seeing that will not just cover the problem but solve it!

1) State your gratitude for the wake-up call you have just been given
2) Calmly contemplate the obstacle- what, who, where, when, etc. does it involve? What problems do you perceive it's creating?
3) Release any fear, anger, sadness, etc, regarding that situation and choose to come from a neutral place about it.
4) Spend the rest of your time in contemplation really thinking about how what you think you want might not actually be best for you, how needing to slow down, take a different path, etc. might be best. In this part- you MUST be brutally honest with yourself otherwise the obstacle just gets bigger. Is he not calling you because your heart of hearts really doesn't want to be with him? Is the job not coming because you are completely out of tune with your higher career path? Be honest, loving and present with what you ask yourself and what answers you discover.

Taking right action when warning signs turn on
So...you have an obstacle, you're aware and grateful that your higher self and the cosmos are trying to tell (or, yell in some cases!) you something... what now? Go with it!
With an obstacle you just hit a dead-end, accept that and move to another path of action. Keep doing the same thing over and over and you may just burn yourself out in a deep way. Many people experience an obstacle and just try harder- thus feeding more energy into the negativity underlying the situation... trouble!
Evaluate what you want, open yourself up in meditation/prayer to receive clear guidance about a better way to get it- and let go of any addiction you have to only doing things one way. The universe it unlimited in it's facets and we must be to when we try to walk the abundance path! Countless will's on this planet- and countless ways!
Taking that initial moment as mentioned in the numbered section above where you just get serious, calm and really investigate can change everything. Sometimes, the universe is trying to help us do the right thing but we are so addicted to doing things our way or no way that it can't help us. If we are obsessing or worrying so much about one thing- we are literally pinning it down so that it cannot be moved. Our ego and fear is the pin in the butterfly's back. When we surrender, let go, open up to clear cosmic guidance and come in grateful and willing to do what it takes- the cosmic intelligence often just arranges things for us in the few moments we stop trying to play God. Think about it :)

Sometimes, seeing an obstacle for what it is can be nearly impossible because we are so in the middle of it. This is a good time to connect with a psychic or intuitive adviser you trust and value. Just having another human being bounce a compassionate reality check off your heart and help you see things from the mountain outside the valley can be just the right medicine. It's always easier for an attuned and empowered psychic adviser to see what we can't because they aren't wrapped up in it and they can pan back to see a bigger picture that's hard for us to see when we feel tied down to where we are.

It has not been my norm to write articles that don't have some action on the spiritual plane in them- so I hope that this 'self help' teaching serves you well and fits in with other things I have presented. If you feel a little lost without the action of the article- go write down everything that you have guilt about... then release it in love and move on. Guilt is the ties that bind a growing flower- and all you really need to do is send it off from gratitude and love to get it out. It might not be gone overnight but it will be gone with some perseverance.

Cutting The Cords

Human beings are designed and meant to be social animals. Because of this, our complex energetic bodies have a very wondrous method of reaching out and connecting to others- even before we consciously do so. Thread-like tentacles move from our energy matrix into the world around us connecting us to others, reading energetic/soul compatibility, sharing energetic feedback and transferring intuitive information. If you’ve ever walked by someone and gotten a ‘bad vibe’, it’s likely that you projected a cord and the chemistry was all wrong.

Cords always make the first impression. Before you ever approach the woman at the bar and introduce yourself, a cord has connected the two of you and the energy is flowing. When long lost friends randomly enter our consciousness- often times its because the cord that has connected us all these years has been triggered, empowered or removed causing a conscious manifestation of its purpose.

There are countless ways in which cords serve us- but what I’d like to focus on here is how we can take control of them and remove negativity from our lives when needed.

Our example:

A husband and wife, married 11 years.

These two have countless cords connecting them all based on the main cord of their relationship. Each interaction, event, etc. creates a new cord. Some are temporary- others that reinforce latent issues within us stay longer because we feed them.

Let’s assume these two have a pretty heated argument. A cord is created that resonates at the vibration of the fight and feeds through the core cord of their actual relationship.

Best course of action: cut the cord! This will help drain negativity and power from the situation, let each person cool down, prevent the situation from going heart deep and open each person to issue-free healing.

Cutting a cord is a way to psychically, ritually and consciously remove the power from a situation that doesn’t serve you. Any time something happens you don’t like- you should follow up shortly after and cut the cord that connects you to that situation.

Cutting cords does NOT prevent you from learning lessons, and it does not cut another person from your life. It simply removes energetic expressions from your matrix that are not serving you.

To cut cords, simply close your eyes, get calm and ask that the cord(s) from any situation be shown to you… allow yourself to see one or many cords coming from your core reaching out to the situation/person/time. Then, by whatever means you life- cut them. Use a kitchen knife, a chainsaw, TNT or even your teeth! When you cut the cord, imagine the cord shrivel and disintegrate due to being cut off… now you have your power back and are not subtly and subconsciously feeding and energizing a situation that doesn’t serve you. Doing this tells your mind to let go, your heart to get bigger and your energetic body to heal and recharge. It also alleviates the possibility of attracting more similar situations since the like-attracts-like law cant effect you since that vibration is no longer within you.

Try cutting cords to migraines, traffic jams, arguments, past hurts, etc.

You can also perform a big cutting anytime by asking that all cords which don’t serve you in a positive and loving way be shown- then cut ‘em up!

You can also perform cord strengthening meditations when there’s a cord you DO want..Like the cord that connects you to your husband who’s on work travel for a while, a long friend you’d like to see again, a time in your life you were really happy, etc. Call up those cords and imagine filling them with loving energy. See the energy surging between you and the goal via the cord in strong waves. Allow the cord to become more prominent in your matrix and feel free to tell it how you’d like things to change- your words will affect the way it processes energy!

I encourage you to begin working with subtle energy. It is the driving force for every aspect of our life experience- and by being in tune with it- we can truly walk a magical path!
